Set Up Zip Code List

Use the Zip Code editor to facilitate entering accurate address information into your patient folders. We recommend that you use the postal-approved two-digit abbreviation for each state name.

How to Get Here

Click to OpenOpen Zip Code Editor - Home ribbon bar > Editors > General > Zip Codes. (You can also use the Search field to look for the editor you want to work with.)

Choose Your Settings

Click to OpenCreate a New Description - Click New. Then enter the details for the new record.

Edit Descriptions - Click in the field you want to modify and type your changes, or cut, copy, and paste as needed.

Click to OpenDelete Descriptions - Click the record you want to remove, then click Delete. The description is removed from the list, but not removed from any patients that already have the description assigned to them.

Electronic Insurance Requirements - The State field must be in standard 2-letter postal abbreviation format for electronic insurance submission.

Patient Folder Updates - If you change information in the Zip Code editor, the changes do not automatically update patient folders and other records: You might want to subgroup records that use the old zip code information so you can update them manually as needed.

Click to OpenEditor History - When you open more than one editor without leaving the Editors window, a history of those editors appears at the top of your screen. You can click a name in the history to return to any previously opened editor, easily going back and forth between editors. This is useful, for example, when you are working with editors that are related to one another, such as the Treatment Chart Style editor and the Treatment Chart List editor.
