Use the Link Patient feature of the Edge / OrthoBanc integration to manually link patient contracts for OrthoBanc payment collection. Note that in addition to using this feature to manually link patient accounts, you can link patients to unresolved OrthoBanc accounts at the time you retrieve your OrthoBanc deposit.
Open patient folder > Patient ribbon bar > Integrations > OrthoBanc - Link Patient.
Create new OrthoBanc patient account - If the patient has never had an OrthoBanc record created, select New OrthoBanc Patient. This option creates a new record on the OrthoBanc site, and links your Edge patient folder to it.
Link to existing OrthoBanc patient account - If you have already created a record for the patient on the OrthoBanc site, outside of Edge, select Link to Existing OrthoBanc Patient. You will then see a search dialog, with all available criteria from the Edge patient folder pre-loaded. Select the type of data you would like to search by (i.e. the patient last name), and click Search.
When the results of the search appear, click the OrthoBanc record that you want to link to this Edge patient folder, and click Select.
Un-link patient - (Available only if the patient is already linked to an OrthoBanc record.) Choose this option to un-link the Edge patient folder from the OrthoBanc record that is currently assigned to it.
Create & manage OrthoBanc account - Once you manually link an Edge patient folder to an OrthoBanc record, you need to create a corresponding OrthoBanc account to specify the payment plan and collection method. You can then view that account, and get credit recommendations for the payment plan. See "Manage Accounts & Recommendations" for details.)
