Delete a Contract

If you create a contract in error, you can delete it as long as no financial transactions or electronic insurance submissions have been associated with it.

Once you have posted a transaction or transmitted an insurance form, the contract cannot be deleted, even if those events were reversed.

Use This Feature

  1. Click to OpenOpen Patient Finance Page - Patient folder > Finance page.

  2. Click to OpenChoose Contract - Select a contract from the list at the left of the window. If the treatment phase you want to work with is collapsed, click the [+] button to expand it so you can see all the billing names. (See "Patient Finance Page" for details.)

  1. Click to OpenDelete Empty Contract - Patient ribbon bar > Contract section > Delete Contract.

    What Does "Empty" Mean? The contract cannot have had any transactions posted to it (i.e. contract charges, miscellaneous charges, or receipts), and insurance contracts cannot have been associated with any electronic insurance submissions.
