Manage Open-Ended Contract Fees

Use the Open-Ended Fees tab of the Contract Structure editor to manage and close open-ended contract fees.

Get Started

Click to OpenCreate an Open-Ended Contract - As you create a new contract, you must enable the open-ended contract option, and enter an open-ended arrangement for at least one contract member. Once a contract is saved, you cannot return to the Contract Setup screen to enable the open-ended option. See "Create a New Contract " for details.

Use This Feature

  1. Click to OpenOpen Patient Finance Page - Patient folder > Finance page.

  2. Click to OpenChoose Contract - Select a contract from the list at the left of the window. If the treatment phase you want to work with is collapsed, click the [+] button to expand it so you can see all the billing names. (See "Patient Finance Page" for details.)

  1. Click to OpenLaunch Contract Structure Editor - Patient ribbon bar > Edit section > Contract Structure. (An Edge Cloud patient folder must be open for the Patient ribbon bar to be available.)

    This option is not available when you have selected to work with a partial contract, that is, a treatment phase that has charge and/or payment transactions but no formal contract created.

  1. Click to OpenOpen Open-Ended Fees Tab - Click the Open-Ended Fees tab at the top of the Contract Structure editor. This tab is available only if you enabled the Open Ended Contracts option, and set up at least one open-ended agreement when you first created the contract.

  2. Click to OpenWork With Open-Ended Contracts - You can add open-ended fees to additional contract members, modify existing open-ended agreements, and close open-ended contracts from this window.

  3. Save Your Changes - Click Save to save the changes you have made and close the editing window.
