Edge Specialist provides you with tools and processes to operate both orthodontic and pediatric dentristy specialties within one system. In addition to all of the Ortho2 practice management features, Edge Specialist also includes the following:

Patient Specialties - A patient can be assigned to one or more of your practice specialties, all within one patient folder. One click switches you between the patient's specialty details.

Scheduler Filters and Procedures - With Edge Specialist, you can filter your schedule and classify your chairs by specialty. Your appointments can include multiple dental procedures from the same, or different specialties. For example, one appointment might include one pediatric dentistry and two orthodontic procedures.

Tooth Chart and Treatment Hub - You can record existing tooth and health conditions as well as planned and completed dental procedures via the Edge Specialist tooth chart and treatment hub features. With an easy-access list of dental procedures, you can quickly add an item to a tooth, quadrant, whole mouth, or other area as a planned procedure. Dental procedures can be viewed and edited from the patient’s treatment chart, allowing you to take notes or alter the billing code and fees.

Financials and Insurance - Edge Specialist makes both your orthodontic and pediatric dental financials and insurance easy. You can view patient ledgers by specialty, or see all financials combined. In addition, when a procedure is marked as complete, the fee will automatically be posted to the insurance and responsible party in whatever billing line you have set up, even billing multiple codes per appointment. Electronic insurance claims streamline the process for you. Finally, practice financial reports can be separated by specialty or combined to provide a complete financial picture.

Child-Friendly Animations - Edge Specialist features several patient animation videos designed to be fun and accessible to children. Take advantage of these child friendly videos, such as how to properly floss, brush, and the importance of keeping their teeth clean, to show your younger patients the proper way to take care of their teeth.
