HR Manager Security
Use your HR Manager security settings to determine the level of access your security models have for your employee records.
Select Editors from the Tools section of the Home ribbon bar. Then, from the Practice section, open the Security editor. (You can also use the Search field to look for the editor you want to work with.)
Select the Practice Administration security group to set up the access for your HR Manager data and settings. You can choose Full Access for the entire security group to allow this security model full rights to all practice administration areas of your Edge Cloud system, including HR Manager settings and data, or choose Read Only or No Access to limit access to this type of data. Or, choose Custom to choose individual practice administration access, including these HR Manager settings:
HR Manager
Use this setting to determine the basic level of access to your HR Manager. You must allow at least some access to this setting in order to use the HR Manager calendar and compensation details at all.
Full Access
- This setting allows for viewing and changing all information in your HR Manager, except the HR Manager Calendar and HR Manager Compensation, which are governed by their own security settings.
Read Only
- This setting allows for viewing, but not changing information.
No Access
- This setting prevents any access to the HR Manager. This also prevents access to the HR Manager Calendar and HR Manager Compensation, regardless of those access settings.
HR Manager Calendar
Use this setting to determine the level of access to your HR Manager calendar.
The HR Manager access level must be at least Read Only to be able to use the HR Manager calendar at all.
Full Access
- This setting allows for viewing, adding, and editing events on your HR Manager calendar.
Read Only
- This setting allows for viewing, but not adding or changing, events on your HR Manager calendar.
No Access
- This setting prevents any access to the HR Manager calendar.
HR Manager Compensation
Use this setting to determine the level of access to all employee compensation details.
The full effect of this setting is dependent upon the HR Manager access level. If the HR Manager access level is No Access, this setting is moot: No access is allowed for any HR Manager compensation details or any other area of your employee records.
Full Access
- If the HR Manager Compensation setting is Full Access, and the HR Manager access level is Read Only, you can edit compensation details, but you cannot view the Compensation or Compensation History panels of an employee's record. If both the HR Manager Compensation setting and the HR Manager access level are Full Access, you can view and edit all compensation areas of all HR Manager records.
Read Only
- This setting allows for viewing the Compensation and Compensation History panels of all employee HR Manager records, but not editing them. Full Access to the HR Manager access level is required. If the HR Manager access level is No Access or Read Only, this setting is ignored, and you cannot view any compensation panels.
No Access
- This setting prevents any access to HR Manager compensation details, even if the HR Manager access level allows Full Access or Read Only access to other areas of your employee records.
