Edge Portal
The Edge Portal mobile viewer, available in both Personal and Premium versions, gives your office real-time access to vital practice information and images from any tablet or smartphone. Edge Portal Personal lets you quickly and easily access treatment chart data, reports, and your schedule from any location. Edge Portal Premium extends online functionality to patients, responsible parties, and consulting professionals so they can view appropriate information and images. You can use the information from the viewer to consult with dentists, and empower your patients to check appointment times; Edge Portal Premium even provides a way for you to accept online credit card payments that are automatically posted if you wish. If you have Edge Portal, you can send recovery passwords and initiate portal registration from within Edge Cloud.
Edge Portal Personal is included with all Edge Cloud systems: Edge Portal Premium is available for a fee. Please contact Ortho2 for further information.

See "Set Up Patient Sign-In Screen" for details about adding this option to your Patient Sign-In screen.

Edge Portal Premium and Professional Messages
To send a professional a message via Edge Cloud Messaging, the professional record must have a valid email address, and that email address must be registered to use your Edge Portal Premium app to retrieve the message. When you select a professional to receive a message you send via Messaging, the processional can optionally receive a notice of the message at the email address in the professional record; the professional must then log into Edge Portal to retrieve the complete message text. You may choose to have multiple messages condensed into a digest, to be emailed to the professional at one time, instead of many times throughout the day. In addition, messages received through Edge Portal are saved in the correspondence history. If a patient link was included, the message is saved in the patient's correspondence history as well. Use your Edge Portal settings to enable / disable the professional message options. (See "Professional Records" for details about including email contact information in professional records.)
