New York Medicaid Export
Use the New York Medicaid Export integration to compile patient data in the format required by WCS NYS Managed Care software (WCS), which facilitates filing your New York Medicaid claims. Once the integration compiles the data, you simply upload the file to WCS for processing.
Integration Support - Ortho2 can help you with questions you have about system requirements, integration setup, and using your integrations within our system. However, you will need to contact the third-party supplier for specific details about using the integrated module.
Identify the Datafile to Use - If you already use WCS software, jot down the location and name of the .CVS file you upload. If this is all new to you, you will need to choose a location on your computer, and create an empty CVS file to get started.
Identify the Subgroup to Use- When you use the integration, you must identify a subgroup of patients to include in the export. If you do not have a subgroup that fits the criteria you need for the export, you will have to create one before the integration will work. See "Subgroup Editor" for details.
Open the User Options window from the File, Home, Patient, or Scheduler ribbon bar. Then choose the Integrations tab. Select New York Medicaid Export from the drop down list at the top of the window and click Add.
Enter the location of the datafile you will upload to your WCS NYS Managed Care software (WCS) software in the Export Path field. (If you have never used the software, you will need to create an empty .CSV file to begin with.) You can also rename the integration for your own purposes, if you wish. Click Ok to save your changes and exit User Options.
Computer-Specific Integration -This integration is user-specific: You must activate the integration on each workstation where you would like to use it.
When you need to send patient data to WCS, you will first create the export file from within Edge, then use your WCS software to upload the file. To create the file, select Integrations from the Tasks section of the Home ribbon bar, and select your New York Medicaid Export integration. Then choose the subgroup of patients to include and click Ok.
The patient data will be compiled and exported to the datafile you set up for your integration. Upload this file according to your WCS software instructions.
If you no longer wish to use the integration on this computer, open the User Options Integration window. Select the integration name from the Current Integrations list at the left, and click Remove. You will need to do this on each computer that you no longer wish to use the integration with.
