Financial User Options
Use the Financial tab of your User Options window to set your default contract class and late fee, enable / disable the unfinalized transaction warning, and choose the Global Payments Integrated EMV device to use with this computer. Your security rights must include full access to the User Options Editor setting in the Practice Administration security group for this feature to work for you.
Assign Settings Tool
- These settings are specific to you, and will follow you on whatever computer you log into: Other operators may have different settings. If another operator has the settings you want to use, that operator can use the Assign Options tool to copy those settings to you, or vice-versa.
Open the User Options window from the File, Home, Patient, or Scheduler ribbon bar. Then choose the Financial tab.
Show Posted Transactions Warning
- You can set up Edge Cloud so that when you attempt to post a transaction before you finalize the Transaction Report for the previous day, you see a warning message before the Post Transaction window will open. You must then confirm your action before continuing. This feature helps you maintain the integrity of daily transaction postings. After you have seen the message once, you can select not to see it again that day, if you choose.
Show Warning For Inactive Offices
- Enable this option to display a warning if you have unfinalized transactions from offices you have flagged as Inactive. This helps prevent transactions from falling through the cracks of your audit trail.
Default Contract Late Fee
- Choose the default late fee to apply to new contracts. Once created, you can change a contract's late fee policy as needed.
Default Miscellaneous Charge Late Fee
- Choose the default late fee to apply to miscellaneous charges. You may change this policy on individual Responsible Party pages as needed. (Use the Late Fee editor to set up your late fee policies for both contract payments and miscellaneous charges. See "Late Fee Editor" for details.)
Hide Last Receipt in Posting Transaction Dialog
- Enable this option to omit the details of the prior receipt when posting a batch of receipt transactions, preserving patient privacy.
Select Global Payments Integrated EMV Device
- If ;you will be processing debit and credit card payments at this computer, select the EMV device(s) to use here. (You set up your Global Payments Integrated credentials and your EMV devices in you Edge Cloud Payment Accounts editor. See "Payment Accounts Editor" for details.)
You can click another User Options tab at the left to work with other Edge Cloud settings, or click Ok to immediately save any changes, and exit the window.
