Set Up Patients & Responsible Parties for Reminders

Use the patient and responsible party Contacts fields to indicate whether to send Edge Reminders messages to that person via phone, text, and/or email. You can activate contacts when you create a record, and edit the record to change the contact method at any time.

In addition to individually selecting contacts for your records, you can apply Edge Reminders contact selections for any subgroup of patients with the Assign Edge Reminders Defaults tool. See " Apply Edge Reminders Contacts to a Subgroup" for details.

Choose Your Settings

  1. Click to OpenAdd Contact Information to Patients / Responsible Parties - You can open this feature in multiple ways: Use the method that's most convenient for you.

  2. Click to OpenAssign Edge Reminders Contacts - Enable the Telephone, Text, and/or Email icon beside the contact you want to use for the delivery of Edge Reminders messages.

    You can set up default Edge Reminders flags for your contact types with the Contact Categories editor. See "Set Up Contact Categories" for details.

    You can apply Edge Reminders contact selections for any subgroup of patients with the Assign Edge Reminders Defaults tool. See " Apply Edge Reminders Contacts to a Subgroup" for details.
