Staff members can use the timeclock from any workstation to clock in, clock out, specify the job they are working on, and leave a message about where they are.
Load Timeclock on your workstation - (Optional) Start menu > All Programs > Ortho2 Edge > Timeclock.
When loaded, the Timeclock icon will be in your system tray. If you always clock in and out from within Edge, you can skip this step.
Initiate Timeclock from within Edge - Click Clock In or
Clock Out from the Timeclock section of the Home ribbon bar. Only one of the functions will be available, depending on your current time clock status. Or, if you have fingerprint sensors, you can simply press the fingerprint sensor installed at the workstation. See "Acquire Staff Fingerprints" for details.
If the ribbon bar is not displayed at the top of your Edge window, click the Home ribbon bar heading, then make your selection, or use the Show/Hide button at the far right of your screen. See "Show / Hide Ribbon Bar" for details.
Initiate Timeclock without loading Edge - If Timeclock is already loaded on your workstation (described above), right-click the Timeclock icon that appears in your system tray and select Clock In/Out. Then enter your Edge username and password.
Type a message (Optional.) - Type a message in the text box to keep co-workers appraised of your whereabouts, or when you intend to return. While generally used when clocking out, you can also enter a message when you clock in. (Open the time clock Status window to see staff messages. See "View & Edit Time Clock Records" for details.)
Select time category - The Time Categories
Confirm - Click Ok to confirm your working status.
