HR Manager Calendar

Your HR Manager shows events scheduled by your staff (such as personal appointments, vacations, and meetings), as well as employee anniversaries and birthdays, and the number of patient appointments you have scheduled in your Scheduler.

Click to OpenOpen Your HR Manager Calendar

With your HR Manager open, select Calendar from the General section of the ribbon bar.

Click to OpenThe HR Manager Calendar Window

Click to OpenView Day, Week, or Month

Click a tab at the top of the calendar to choose whether to see a single day, a week, or an entire month. The current time is indicated by a bar in the Day and Week views.

Click to OpenChoose a Date

Use the monthly calendar at the left of the window to select the month and day to view. Today's date is outlined. You can also use the arrows beside the date in the calendar window to move forward and backward in time. In addition, clicking Today in the ribbon bar takes you to today's date. When viewing Week mode, the display will begin with the first day of the work week that includes today's date. See "HR Manager Calendar Work Week Editor" for details.

Click to OpenPatient Appointment Summary

The number of appointments scheduled in your Scheduler appears on each date for a quick overview of your day.

Click to OpenEmployee Milestones

Employee birthdays and office anniversaries, as entered in the employee's HR Manager record, appear on the calendar.

Click to OpenAppointment / Event Status

The appointment status indicates whether the event is tentative, or whether the staff responsible for the event is busy, out of the office, or free during that time period. You can set the status when you create an appointment / event, as well as when you edit appointments. (Only users with full access security rights to the HR Calendar can change the event status.) In the calendar, the status of an appointment is indicated by the pattern at the right edge of the appointment when viewed in Day or Week mode.

Click to OpenAppointment / Event Details

You can hover over a scheduled event in the calendar to see a tooltip that includes the appointment description, time, and any notes. In addition, HR Manager calendar appointments appear in the category color assigned to the appointment. If the appointment was created from this calendar, you can double-click the appointment to open the editing window, where you can view and change the details.

Click to OpenSchedule Events and Appointments

Click to OpenAdd or Edit an Appointment

Click  Add to Calendar from the calendar ribbon bar, or double-click a blank space in the calendar, to create an appointment or event. You can also double-click an existing appointment to edit it. If you edit an appointment that is set to recur, you must choose whether to edit the individual appointment or the entire series. You cannot change the employee associated with a scheduled time-off request, but you can change all other details. See "Manage HR Manager Calendar Events" for details.

Anniversaries and BirthdaysClosed - You cannot edit employee birthdays and anniversaries by double-clicking them: That information must be changed in the employee's HR Manager record.

Click to OpenDrag & Drop Appointments / Events

So, when you view the calendar in Day mode, you can only move appointments from one time slot to another. However, when you view the calendar in Week or Month mode, you can drag an appointment to any time slot on any visible date.

Accepted requests will appear as scheduled events in your HR Manager calendar. You can review all requests, including accepted and denied requests, from the Time Off Queue at the bottom of the HR Manager calendar. See "Manage Time Off (PTO) Requests" for details.

Security RestrictedClosed - Only operators with full security access to the HR Manager calendar can see or manage this feature. See "HR Manager Security" for details.
