Use the Merge Contracts feature to combine transactions you have posted to a treatment phase that has no formal contract with a contract you have created for a different treatment phase.
Open patient finance page - Open patient >
Finance page.
Choose partial contract - Select the partial contract you want to work with from the list at the left of the window. (A partial contract occurs when charges and/or payment transactions have been posted to a treatment phase, but no formal contract was created for that treatment.) Note that the icon beside partial contracts is slightly different than the icon beside formal contracts.
Initiate merge contracts option - Click Merge Contract from the Patient ribbon bar. This option is available only when you have highlighted a partial contract in the accounts list.
Enter merge details - Choose how you wish to combine the contracts.
Contract(s) to merge - If the patient has multiple partial contracts, you can select the contract(s) you want to work with.
Merge destination - If the patient has multiple true contracts, select where you want the partial contract's transactions to go.
Finish - Click Merge to save the merge and return to the patient's Finance page. The transactions posted to the former partial contract will be added to the selected contract, and the partial contract will no longer be in the list of patient accounts.
