Use the Message Center to send, receive, and respond to messages from other Edge Cloud operators, as well as professionals that use your Edge Portal Premium app.
Automatic High Importance Notification - If you receive a messaged flagged with High Importance while you are logged into Edge Cloud, or if you have an unread high importance message when you first log in, the message will pop onto the top of your Edge Cloud screen so you can take care of it right away.
Messaging Security - Use the General security group section of the Security editor to set up whether Edge Cloud operators have access for Messaging, and whether those with access can review the messages sent to other operators. If you exclude a security group from messaging access, you will also want to enable the Hide from Messaging option in the Operators editor for anyone assigned to that group. Otherwise, other operators might send those people messages that they will not be able to see. See "Security Editor" for details.
Show / Hide Operators in Messaging - Use the Hide from Messaging and Hide From Professional Portal Messaging options in the Operator editor to include / exclude Edge Cloud operators from the list of people other operators can send messages to, and from the list of people professionals using Edge Portal can message. While you will leave these options disabled for most operators, you will want to enable them for any operators that do not have security access to messaging, as well as operators you have set up for special purposes, such as a sign-in station. See "Operator Editor" for details.
Edge Cloud operators in a security group that excludes them from messaging can still receive messages flagged "high importance" if they are not hidden from the messaging list. The excluded operator will see the high importance message when they log into Edge Cloud, and can immediately reply to or forward that message. However, once they exit the high importance message window, it will no longer be available to them.
