Set up your message text -
Home ribbon bar > Editors > Integrations > Reminders. (You can also search for the editor you want to work with.)
Provide credentials - Enter your Edge user name and password. Only operators assigned to a security model that allows full access to the Edge Reminder Editor settings of the General Administration group can open this editor. See "Set Up Security Access" for details.
Select Edge Reminders - Choose the Edge Reminders plug in, and enable the Activate option. All Edge Reminders set up options are then available to you.
Open Scheduled Reminders - Click to open the Scheduled Reminders tab.
Choose Record to Work With - Your list of existing records appears at the left. Click the record to work with. The details for that record appear at the right.
Hide / display inactive records - Enable / disable the Display Inactive option at the bottom of the window to include / exclude inactive scheduled reminders in the list.
Create a new scheduled reminder - Type a name for your reminder, and click Add. Then complete the reminder details, described below.
Edit details - Select the reminder to work with, then complete the details.
Name - Use a descriptive name for your scheduled reminder.
Toggle inactive flag- Records you flag as Inactive are not available for general use. However, they remain in effect for reporting and other data collection needs.
Recurrence - Select how often you want the reminders to be sent: Daily, Weekly, Monthly, etc.
Day of week - If you select the Daily recurrence, enable each day of the week that you want the reminders to be run (generally week days).
Message - Choose the message to send when this reminder is run. (See "Set Up Reminder Messages" for details about setting up your messages.)
Choose subgroup - Select the subgroup to use when selecting who should receive the message. Only records that fit your selected subgroup will be included.See "Set Up & Manage Subgroups" for details.
Start Date / End Date - Enter the first date, and optionally the last date that you want the scheduled reminder to be activated. If you want the reminder to recur for an undetermined length of time, leave the end date blank.
Start Time / End Time - Enter the starting and ending times for sending the reminder messages. Message delivery will be attempted only during the time of day you set.
Time zone - Select your time zone from the drop down list to be sure the messages are delivered at the appropriate local time.
Choose delivery method(s) - Enable each type of delivery method, telephone, email, and/or text, that you want to use for this set of reminders. (You flag which phone number / email address to use for each type of message in the patient and responsible party
Retries - Select the maximum number of retries, and minutes between retries, for telephone messages. These fields, which are operator-specific, are ignored for email and text messages. These fields override the values on the Setup tab of the Reminders editor. (See "Set Up Edge Reminders Integration" for details.)
Save Changes Click
Save in your Quick Access toolbar or File ribbon bar (or press Ctrl+S on your keyboard) to save any changes you have made.
Preview scheduled reminders - You can preview the details of reminders that are scheduled to be activated from the Upcoming Scheduled Reminders tab of the Edge Reminders window. See "Send Edge Reminders Messages" for details.
Contact flags required - You must flag the contact detail (telephone number, email address, and/or cell phone number) that you want to use to deliver reminder messages for each patient, responsible party, and professional record in your database. Otherwise, the person will not get any messages, even when they fit your selected subgroup. On the other hand, if you have flagged multiple delivery contact methods, the person will receive a message in each format.
