Edge Proposal

You can use the Proposal Mode option in your System Financial Settings editor to choose to use either the original Edge Cloud Legacy proposal system, or Edge Proposal, or be prompted for which system to use when you create an orthodontic contract proposal. You can change your proposal system preference at any time. However, any existing proposals will continue to use the proposal system you used to create it. See "System Financial Settings Editor" for details.

Use the Edge Proposal Add-Ons editor to create your list of treatment options, such as clear brackets, that responsible parties can select to supplement their basic treatment. Each add-on includes a description, fee, and optional image. When your patients' families use the Edge Proposal app to adjust their contract structure to their liking, they will be able to see their available add-ons and select the ones they want to include in their treatment plan. Use the Edge Proposal Templates editor to set up your standard treatment options, such as full braces, limited treatment, and Invisalign. Each template defines the default treatment fee and months, finance charge, associated discounts, and available add-ons. You can also set up default payment structures that your patients' families can use as starting points as they use the Edge Proposal app to personalize their treatment and set up their payment plan. The office logo that your patients' families see when they use the Edge Proposal app comes from your Edge Cloud Office editor. Each office can have its own logo, and the logo that will appear on the Edge Proposal app is the one assigned to the office that is listed in the patient folder. See "Office Editor" for details.

You can use the Proposal Acceptance variables to include accepted Edge Proposal details in your mail merge documents. Documents that use these variables must be set to the Proposal Acceptance document selection type in your Mail Merge Documents editor for the data to merge correctly. (Be sure to use the Proposal Acceptance variables for merging with Edge Proposal: The Proposal variables are for use with the legacy contract proposal system and not Edge Proposal. See "Mail Merge Variables" for details.

You create Edge Proposal contract proposals from the Finance page of the patient folder. Each proposal can include multiple treatment and template combinations to provide your patient families with a variety of treatment options. See "Create Proposals with Edge Proposal" for details.

You review, edit, activate and share proposals from the Finance page of the patient folder. Proposal details can be edited while they are "Pending" or "Active" status. Once a proposal is "Active", you can share it with responsible parties so they can use the Edge Proposal app to choose their treatment and payment options. Finally, when a proposal is "Accepted" by the family, it is time to create the contract. See "Manage Edge Proposal Proposals" for details.

After you activate a proposal for a patient, you can share it with responsible parties, inviting them to take the reins, choose their treatment options, and design their own payment plan with the Edge Proposal app. See "The Edge Proposal App" for details.

Use the Edge Proposal widget to review and manage your patient contract proposals. The widget lists the proposal expiration date, whether the responsible party has viewed the proposal with theEdge Proposal app, and the status. You can filter the widget results to view only the proposals relevant to you. In addition, you can open the patient folder to the proposal page and share the proposal with responsible parties directly from the widget. See "Edge Proposal Widget" for details.
