Needs Appointment List; Scheduler Group Clipboards; Sooner if Possible List; Old Appointments List
The Scheduler Bar serves as a clipboard for appointments waiting to be rescheduled, as well as a notification board for patients on your Needs Appointment and Sooner if Possible lists.
Open Your Scheduler - Click Scheduler from the Modules section of your Home ribbon bar. (You might also be able to open this feature from the Quick Access toolbar at the top of your Edge window.)
Use This Feature
Appointment Filters - If you have applied one or more filters to your Scheduler, only the appointments and patients that match those filters will appear on the scheduler bar.
Show / Hide Scheduler Bar - The scheduler bar appears on either the right or left side of your Scheduler window, depending upon your Scheduler User Options: If you don't see it, hover over the scheduler bar header to slide it into. You can then click the pin icon to toggle whether to keep the scheduler bar on your screen. Edge will remember your most recent setting when you exit and re-open the Scheduler.
Needs Appointments List - The Needs Appointment section of your scheduler bar lists the patients that should have a next appointment scheduled, but don't. You can place patients on the list manually, or automatically track patients that need appointments by enabling the Appointment Required option for certain status descriptions, and entering treatment chart records that include next appointment criteria. Patients are placed in different sections of your needs appointment list depending upon how they were added to the list, and the available details of the next needed appointment. See "Needs Appointment List" for details.
Scheduler Groups - Click a scheduler group header to use your appointment Clipboard, Sooner if Possible list, Old Appointments list, and any user-created boards.

The board heading includes the original appointment date. You can reschedule patients from this board as needed, as well as activate patients, open patient folders, review appointment details, and remove patients from the board. In addition, you can attempt to reschedule all appointments on the board to the currently selected Scheduler date. When all patients have been removed from the board, it is deleted automatically.
