Assign Your Settings to Other Users

Use the Assign User Options tool to copy specific Edge Cloud settings from your own system log in to someone else's Edge Cloud system log in. Your security rights must include full access to the User Options Assignment setting in the Practice Administration security group for this feature to work for you.

Use This Feature

1. Open Assign Options - Home Ribbon Bar > Tools section > Other Tools > Assign Options.

   

2. Choose Settings to Copy - Click the settings you want to work with, then click the arrows to add or remove it from the options you want to copy to other users. You can select options individually, or use your Ctrl or Shift key to select multiple options simultaneously. You can also use the double arrows to include / exclude all settings. When all the settings you want to copy to other operators are selected, click Ok to continue.

   

   Financial - These settings, which include your default late fee policies, are found in your Financial User Options. See "Financial User Options" for details.

   General - These settings, which determine how certain log in and mail merge features behave, are found in your General User Options. See "General User Options" for details.

   HR Manager Panels - These are the panels that are active on an employee record when you first open the HR Manager. See "HR Manager Employee Records" for details.

   Imaging - These settings are found in your Imaging User Options. See "Imaging User Options" for details.

   Mail Merge - These settings, which include the document type and envelope file assigned to your letters, are found in your Mail Merge Documents editor.See "Create and Edit Mail Merge Documents" for details.

   Messaging - These settings, which include your Quick Message list, are found in your Messaging user options.

   If you assign this setting to other users, the selected users' Quick Message lists will be overwritten by your list. See "Messaging User Options" for details.

   Patient Folder Panels - These are the panels that are active when you first open the Home page of a patient folder. See "Patient Home Page" for details.

   Patient Tracker - These settings are found in your Patient Tracker display properties. See "Patient Tracker User Options" for details. (These are different from the settings in the Patient Tracker editor. The editor settings are system-wide: Any change made by any operator is automatically applied to everyone's Patient Tracker editor. See "Set Up Your Patient Tracker" for details.)

   Reporting - These settings include your Quick Reports. See "Quick Reports" for details.

   Ribbon Settings - These settings, which include the type and size of the icons displayed in your ribbon bars, are found in the Customize Ribbon Bar editor. See "Customize Edge Cloud Ribbon Bars" for details.

   Scheduler - These settings are found in each tab of your Scheduler User Options. See "Scheduler User Options" for details.

   Search - These settings, which include the default data types you can search by, are found in your Search user options. See "Search Options" for details.

   Tooth Chart - These settings, which include your default tooth numbering method, are found in your Tooth Chart user options. See "Tooth Chart Options" for details.

   Treatment Chart - These settings determine the default settings for your Findings Import and filters.

   Widgets - Application - These are the application widgets that are active when you first open Edge Cloud. See "Application Widgets" for details.

   Widgets - Dashboard - These are the widget panels that are active on your Edge Cloud dashboard. See "Dashboard Widgets" for details.

   Widgets - Patient - These are the widget panels that are active in the Patient Information Panel. See "Patient Folder Widgets" for details.

3. Choose Operators - Select an operator to work with, then click the arrows to add or remove that name from the of people you want to copy your settings to. You can select options individually, or use your Ctrl or Shift key to select multiple options simultaneously. You can also use the double arrows to include / exclude all operators.

   

4. Finish - When all the operators you want to include are selected, click Ok to continue. The selected options are applied to the specified users immediately, whether or not the user is currently logged into Edge Cloud. However, the user might need to refresh their Edge Cloud screens to see the effects.

Assign Selected Statistics to Other Users - After setting up your Practice Monitor data and goals, you can share those settings with other Edge Cloud users. While viewing the Practice Monitor settings window, simply click Assign, then select the Edge Cloud users to work with.
